Provincial Nominee Worker Program


Most nominee programs offer students graduating from public universities at the post graduate level the opportunity to apply for nomination.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a qualified public post-secondary institution in Canada at the post graduate level in a specified field of study

  • Make application in the province where you intend to reside

After Approval

Once the student is nominated by the province or territory, they may immediately apply for permanent residence status through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

Applicants that applied through the Express Entry stream will be approved in approximately 6 months, and those applying through the regular stream will be approved in approximately 1.5 years.


BRITISH COLUMBIA PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM (BC-PNP)

BCPNP is a points-based system, you will receive a score based on the information you provide. Your registration score will determine whether you will receive an invitation to apply under the BC PNP Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC stream.

General Requirements

EDUCATION -
A master’s or doctoral degree received within the past 3 years from an eligible program at a post secondary institution in B.C.

Your degree must be in one of the following programs of study in the natural, applied or health sciences:
Sciences as defined by Statistics Canada’s Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) 2011:
o Agriculture
o biological and biomedical sciences
o computer and information sciences and support services
o engineering
o engineering technology
o health professions and related clinical sciences
o mathematics and statistics
o natural resources conversation and research
o physical sciences

JOB OFFER –
no job offer required for post international graduate category.

EXPERIENCE –
no years of experience required for post international graduate category.
